11 anglers lined the banks on Little Mill to contest the Mort Cup. First place was Ronnie Kinsella who weighed in 3lb 2oz giving him a comfortable victory, second was Marshall Welsh with 1lb 6oz and in third place came Roy Garton with 4oz.

Marshall would have won the match comfortably had he managed to land any of the three large fish he lost during the match.
