Changes to the fishing licence service
As of April 2017, a few things are changing with fishing licences. For example:
- 12-month licences will now be valid for a full year from their start date – so you can purchase them at any time of the year
- Junior licences (for those between the ages of 12 and 16) will now be free – but are still required
- You’ll be able to buy one licence that allows you to fish with up to 3 rods for coarse fish
- Prices are also increasing for the first time since 2010.
A 12-month trout and coarse licence will increase by £3 to cost £30, and a 12-month salmon and sea trout licence will increase by £10 to cost £82. Concessions will still be available.
