Oulton Mill Litter and Alcohol Warning

This week our Club Secretary (Roy Garton) visited Oulton Mill on one of his regular inspections. He discovered the large bin in the car park of the restaurant on its side, literally stuffed with rubbish. Unfortunately some of this rubbish had tumbled out and had blown into the hedges bordering the car park. He was forced to take immediate action and spent a few hours bagging the rubbish and removing what he could. We are working towards having this bin removed very shortly so please do not use it again.

Rubbish

Our club has been kindly granted permission to use the restaurant car park so anything that could jeopardise this will not be tolerated.

Rubbish 2

Some of the rubbish placed in there was obviously by anglers, there were however several alcohol cans. Our club rules specify members are forbidden to leave any rubbish lying about and the consumption of alcohol is forbidden on all club waters. (Take all your rubbish home with you – if you can bring it you can take it!)

The club has a zero tolerance to alcohol so anyone found with it will be reported to the committee with a proposal for immediate expulsion from the club.

Every time you visit one of our waters you are representing 300 other members, we must strive to avoid anything that will put the club in a bad light. Once we lose the fishing rights to a water we will NOT get it back.
